I just wanted to alert all you mommies out there of an experience I just had, which may help you in the future.

Yesterday my 3 year old, shown above, came up to my husband and said her arm hurt.  He looked at it, and immediately we both panicked – two spider bites!  And there was what appeared to be bruises around them.

I jumped in the car with no shoes on her and rushed her to her pediatrician.   Once we got there, her doctor took a look.  He said it looked at it and said it was having a reaction, which is what the bruises looked like.  He said just to take Children’s Zyrtec.   Easy enough.  Well then, since I was there, I said  “Her breath has been smelling really bad lately.”

I mean, putrid smell of death.  This has been going on 2 weeks, but I didn’t think too much of it, just brushed her teeth & tongue more often.  Even after I would brush her teeth, her breath still smelled.  I thought, is her body not digesting something well???

Neither!  I borrow!   Right now is the time to start asking around.   I was just talking to a lady in my neighborhood last night and she asked what I was doing for my kids for Halloween this year.   I said I was going to ask around to see if anyone had old costumes my girls’ sizes.  Well, she actually did and immediately offered her kids old costumes!  They were store-bought and very cute.

Halloween costumes are very cute if they’re bought in-store, and why should they only be worn once?  Most people will gladly let you borrow their kids costumes from last year.  Just make sure to clean them and return them in good condition.

And I, of course, will loan out my kids costumes from last year to one of my other friends.  Cheap and easy, that’s how I do  Halloween.

How do you do Halloween?

I got a Robby Wash Ball to review back in July.   My 3 years old put it in the washer for me and it’s still there workin’.

  • You just put the Robby Wash in your washer.
  • Leave them there for 120 washes.
  • And you don’t have to add detergent!

I put it in and have not been using laundry detergent – since 10 ounces of macro-molecules of laundry detergent in the Robby Ball lasts in the washer up to 12 months.  This replaces 75 lbs. of traditional laundry detergent.

Being a mom with 2 toddlers, I was skeptical, since I am used to having stains set in. The Robby Ball also came with a little stick of cleaner to get the set in stains out.  Between it and the Robby Ball, I have had no problems.  No stains and my clothes are fresh and clean.

I have a lot of stores on the cuckoo deals map, but not all stores.

I have time to do 2 more stores per week of full coupon match-ups.  I was thinking of doing Fresh Market and Albertsons.  Or maybe Smith’s.  What do you think would benefit you the most? What match-ups are hard to find?

I use Comcast Internet and my 6 month low introductory rate had ended a few months ago. I heard from a friend that if you call and say you want your intro rate back or you will cancel, they give you the low rate back. So I just called and they set my rate back to the introductory rate – saving my $15 per month for the next 6 months = $90 saved!

Let me know if you try this if it works for other internet/cable service provides as well!

UPDATE: A facebook fan, Amanda said “I just did this with DirecTV – we have the NFL Sunday Ticket that auto renews each football season. The regular rate is 6 payments of $49.99 and I called to ‘cancel’ so they gave me a promo rate of 6 payments of $29.99 for the season. From $300 to $180. I’m happy with that!!”

Definitely worth my 10 minute phone call.

Sometimes kids can just make us laugh even when they cause messes that we have to clean.  Here’s my 3 year old daughter who is recently potty trained after a year of unsuccessful attempts.  She must have seen me putting powder on my 1 year old and thought she needed some too!

I thought it’d be nice to kick off the 4th of July with a 7 Year Old Rhema Marvanne’s beautiful rendition of the National Anthem – The Star Spangled Banner.   The ending is the best part.

I will be spending the entire Fourth of July weekend at rodeos, parades, church, and doing fireworks with my family.   What will you be doing?

Have a Happy Fourth of July! God Bless America, the land that I love.

If you are new to my site, every Friday I usually feature a funny couponing video, but this week I decided to do something more patriotic.  Here’s my favorite funny couponing video of weeks past – Half-awful, Half-genius, Totally Cuckoo Music Video About Coupons!

Well she just seems so innocent doesn’t she?  9 days ago She was screaming and I wanted to work on my site.  After several unsuccessful attempts at getting her to play with her older sister, I decided to hand her my cell phone just for  a minute so I could finish my post and then go play with her.

Well she ran from the room quick as can be, and 9 days later my cell phone has still never returned.  We’ve even looked in the vents!

We don’t have a house phone.  So for nine days I have been phone-less.   I emailed friends and family to tell people to email me because I didn’t have a phone and didn’t want to buy a new one. You would have thought I said I was going top-less; people were really shocked that someone could go without a phone.   I decided I am too frugal to buy a new one, I know people lived for centuries without phones, well I could do it too.

I decided to be The Ultimate Frugalista – no cell phone or home/land phone!
