I bought mine [& my daughter's] over the summer from the Apple Store. If you are a student [or know one] you save $100 [must purchase through Apple's education store link] plus you can save on software and printers and such. Also, over the summer they always throw in a free iPod. Both of my daughter’s iPods were free [8g Nano & 16g iPod Touch]. That’s if you’re willing to wait to make your purchase. The only downside, you can’t purchase through a rebate site as they are not tied into the education stores.
