At Kmart I got a 3.5lb bag of Purina dog food, 1 full size bottle of Nutriesse Garnier shampoo, 3 bottles of old spice body wash and 1 Dawn’s liquid soap all for $8.00! I had a coupon for free Purina, kmart had the double packaged Old Spice for $5 (clearance-last one) so I got a single packaged one with the buy one get one coupon, the dawn was .79 with the dollar off coupon and the shampoo a dollar with my 1.00 coupon since it too was on clearance. This was on may 6th, but unfortunatly i do not have a pic or receipt since it was my first official savings and i didnt even think to document or keep the receipt.

My pictures are finally posted on May 29th! Sorry for the difficulty and multiple posts:)

• Carriss

I went to Walmart last night and spent like $18.00 on around $42 worth of stuff. It took 2 transactions because the woman at the register couldn’t get it to take the coupons for the Nivea, so I went to customer service and they were able to do it. Hence the 2 attached receipts.

I would have taken a picture of the items, but some of them aren’t at my house anymore, and almost immediately after I got in the door my daughter started putting them away. :)

• Carriss

My picture didn’t show up, lets see if it does now.

• nicole

Sorry. I know this is mainly for uploading your pics for the contest but I had a question for Lisa… Where did you get the Rotel on sale? And where did you find the coupons? I buy Rotel at Publix all the time but I can never seem to get a good deal on them.

• Megan

I had my best shopping trip Ever! yesterday! I made two trips, both to Publix (one on lunch and a second after work). Collectively between the two trips, I bought 10 Bic Lighters, 22 Wishbone Salad Dressings, 4 Kraft Homestyle Macaroni, 2 Ore-Ida Steam and Mash, 2 Betty Crocker Cookie Icing, 2 Boca Burgers, and 6 Pedigree Dentastix. My pre-coupon total was $149.73 and I only paid $16.30! That’s 89% of saving! I was so thrilled :) Before this, I was afraid I would never do better than 75% savings. Unfortunately these deals ended yesterday, so others won’t be able to snag them anymore.

Hmmm, uploaded 2 pics but they are not showing up? I recently shopped at the Military Commisary and purchased over 120lbs of meat for under $200! This will keep our freezer stocked for almost 4 months. So, $50 a month for high quality meats including 35 lbs of boneless Skinless Chicken breasts and 93% fat free Fresh Hamburger. (Or grocery stores regular prices are about $2.69/lb for the chicken and $4.59/lb for the hamburger)

• Janet

I don’t have a pic of the items (my husband thinks I’m silly when I do that…haha!!), but my favorite trip so far was last week’s grocery shop. We finally took the time to shop without our 3 year old son and went to Kroger and Brookshires. Here’s what we got:

Brookshires – (1) Tide Duo Pac, (2) Hebrew National Hot Dogs, (2) Lunch packs, (2) Pop Tarts, (2) Nabisco Crackerfuls, (2) Fruit snacks, (2) Jose Ole frozen meals, (4) Chex Mix, (1) Gillette Shampoo – clearance $0.99, (2) Hormel shaved deli meat, (2) Gillette deodorant – clearance $1.50, (1) Curly’s Pulled Beef, (1) Silk Soy Milk, and the Real Meal Deal. We used 19 coupons, 2 tripled, and 3 doubled. The Thank You Card took off $45.59 for a grand total of $66.84 or 57%.

Kroger – (6) Pepsi 2 liters, (1) Huge dog food bag :-) , (2) Gummi Bears, (1) Ortega taco seasoning – I had a CAT for $1/1 Ortega = free!!, (1) Kraft cheese, (1) French’s mustard, (1) Fructis conditioner, (1) Fructis styling gel, (6) Green Giant frozen vegetables, (1) Anytizer wings, (3) Sister Schubert’s rolls, (4) Colgate toothpaste, (2) Hormel Turkey lunch meat, (1) Wisk laundry, and (2) Ban deodorant. We saved $15.65, plus $3.20 (double/triple) with coupons. The Kroger PLUS card saved us $35.34 for a grand total of $54.19 or 54%.

All in all, we got $220 worth of groceries for $98.36…not too bad for beginners…I think…?!! :)

• wendy Keeler

I apologize b/c I am probably puttin’ this comment in the wrong spot but I found a great deal on the Earth Options/ Raid bottles. At my walmart the bottles were regular $5.95 each but are now on clearance for $3.00 each. I had a coupon for B1G1FREE so it was $3.00 for both bottles. (Usually Walmart uses the red/white stickers when a item is on clearance but for some reason the prices are the regular white stickers).I dont think my fellow coupon friends noticed this…or the shelves would of been empty lol. I had purchased these on May 23rd–I think the coupon came from the May issue of all you- but I honestly can not remember. Thank you so much for your site Deidre…I just love it and I check your site daily ;-) …I dont want to miss a deal hehehe.

I want to win! This was a fun trip! The cashier said “Your total savings is $100.50!” The lady behind me quickly looked up at me! I just smiled. :-)

My shopping trip was at Walgreens in Bolivar, MO. I spent $0.50 out of pocket. And, I saved $100.50! This was on May 6th, 2011.

• Laurie G

Oh Gosh how did you do that?? I end up spending more. I don’t know what I am doing wrong.

• Tabitha

I did use about $17 in RR. But still, if I hadn’t used my RR’s, spending only $17.50 OOP is still VERY good.

Laurie G, follow web sites like this one and they tell you exactly what coupons to use. Make sure if it is a RR item and you get more than one of those deals that you check out as many times as deals you have. And, make sure to not use a RR from a company (listed on the left side of the RR) to pay for things that are a RR from the same company (even if in a separate transaction). Let us all know what you did/how you do things and I’m sure we can help you not spend more. :-)

I am a newbie to the coupon world. 3 trips out and the last haul Albertsons/Target was purty good. Out of pkt. $72.63 a savings of $115.55. I can only get better at this and plan on it. My family is counting on me to fill their bellies and always have plenty to share with friends and family. I feel like I’m making money again and helping to support my family of five peeps, five dogs and one kitty. Rock on coupon queens!

• Mary Wright

I purchase back in October the 50 load of Tide on sale for 3.99 and had a $1.00 off coupon to make it 1.99 a bottle. I purchased 5 because there was a limit. I wish I had taken a picture or had my receipt to post but I threw that receipt away a while ago. :(
I would love to see this giveaway again. I’ll start taking a picture or keeping the receipts from now on. lol

(I have 4 pics I am trying to attach so bear with me if I am not doing it properly.)
Been couponing for about 2 months now and using YOUR website and the deals and steals found there, I have amassed a small stockpile that has to be distributed into several areas of my home. My twelve year old son loves to go couponing and he loves to look at the stockpile almost as much as I do!

I’ve always used coupons on an occasional basis, but only recently found your blog and am starting to use them in a more efficient way. So, today I went to Wal-Mart and Target and tried purchasing items that were only on clearance or with a coupon and this is what I got. The total paid for all items was $33.58. I’m sure many of you out there could school me on how to do better, but I’m still learning. Here’s a list of the items with their store prices and the coupons I used for them. A lot of the coupons I used expire at the end of this month and many of the items were on clearance.

Target – I found a number of items on clearance here, it was a good time to go.
(2) Crystal Light – on clearance down from $2.49 to $1.77, + $1/1 coupon
(1) Lysol No-Touch Hand Soap System w/ 2 refills – on clearance down from $9.99 to $6.99, + $3/1 coupon
(2) Suave 3 pack (2 shampoo, 1 conditioner) – on clearance down from $5.00 to $2.50, + coupon $0.50/2
(2) Alpo Dog Food – on clearance down from $0.78 to $0.58, + coupon B1G1
(2) Glade room spray – 2 for $5, + coupon $2/2 & target coupon $1/1
(1) Suave Deodorant – $0.97, + coupon $0.75/1
(1) Oreo Cakesters – $2.99 + coupon $1/1
(1) Oreo Brownies – $ 2.99 + target coupon $1/2 oreo items
(2) Quaker Chewy Bars – $2.39 + coupon $1/2
(1) Goldfish Grahams – $1.84 + peelie $0.75/1
(1) Snackwells Brownie Bites – $2.79 + peelie $1/1 (forgot to put this item in the picture)
(1) Honey Maid Grahams – $2.99
(1) 6 pack Hersheys chocolate bars – $2.99 + target coupon $0.50/1
(2) Marshmallow bags – $1.62 each + 1 in store deal & 1 coupon for free marshmallows wyb grahams & chocolate
(2) Aquafresh kids toothbrushes – $1.99 + coupon $1/1 + target coupon $1/1

Wal-Mart – a lot of the items I had heard were on sale are not at my local Wal-mart, so I was a little disappointed, but still got a few items.
(5) Sensodyne travel size toothpaste – $0.97 + coupon $1/1
(4) Wet Ones Wipes – $0.97 + coupon $1/2
(4) Nexcare Comfort Bandages 8 pk – $1.00 + coupon $1/1
(1) Playtex Wipes – $1.97 + coupon $1/1
(2) Wilkinson Sword Razors 4 pk – $0.97 + coupon $1/1
(2) Carefree Pantiliners – $0.94 + coupon FREE upto $1.00

Feel free to comment with any pointers on how I can improve. I’m always looking for more ways to save!

Thanks!
Marian

A few weeks ago, Publix had BOGO on Meow Mix so I scooped it up! It was priced at $4.99/bag which made the unit price 71 cents, compared to the usual $1.10 unit price on a regular priced 6.3 lb bag.

This is an awesome giveaway. Thanks for the chance to win!

My shopping trip was at CVS today. I got the Purex on sale for 1.98 and used a $1 off coupon, the Cesar filets were on sale for $0.69 each, the Trident was on sale for $0.99 and printed a $0.99 ECB and the Revlon was on sale for $4.99 and I used a $1 off coupon and it printed a $4 ECB. I also used a $5 and $2 ECB bringing my grand total to $0.66 after tax. Total savings was $14.97 and I have $4.99 in ECB to return with. For some reason my photo won’t rotate, so I’m sorry that it is sideways.

Spent $25.35 and saved $169.39 at Walgreens on May 29th, I have been couponing for exactly one month and I am hooked. This savings of 87% was done over 7 transactions. Whew! Not quite sure how to run down what I did. There were a lot of great RR this week. I got a few Off clip-on mosquito repellant fans (will come in handy this summer during my vacation). I took advantage of the Ecotrin, auqafresh toothpaste, Icy Hot, Goodys and BC powder, Kellog’s cereal was $1.99 and I had a $1/1 Q and the best deal was the Right Guard in store BOGO with a MQ BOGO as well. It’s hard to believe that I paid full price for stuff before a month ago.

I got all of these dog treats and pet food for free at kmart. The beggin strips were bogo free and I had a bogo free coupon and the dog and cat food were .99 cents and I had $2.00 off any purina. Plus they let me use the overages to pay for my husbands 2 24 packs of pepsi. So I ended up paying $3.73 including tax for 7 packages of pet food, 8 beggin strips, and 2 24 packs of pepsi. SCORE!!
