UPDATE: Read the comments! When you first walked in they had the packs for $9.99, but walk to the back of the store and they have the $5.99 packs which look EXACTLY the same, but have a different sku. Yes you can use the $5 off $25 on those packs. I did it today and it worked perfectly.

Staples (in-store only) has a great sale on Charmin Basic Bath Tissue right now!  Their big roll 16 pack = 32 rolls is only $5.99!  This is usually $9.99!  The newest P&G has a coupon you pair with it!  You can also stack it with the in-ad $5/$25 coupon for cuckoo prices!  This sale is valid through 1/7.  This is less than my stock up price of $0.19 – $0.24 a roll!

Here’s the deal (in-store only):

Buy (5) Charmin Basic Bathroom Tissue, 16 big rolls, $5.99 each
Use (5) $0.25/1 Charmin Product, exp 1/31/12 (P&G 01/01/12)
Use $5 off your in-store purchase of $25 or more (in-ad coupon, bottom of first page)
Pay:  $23.70 OOP, get 80 doulble rolls or 160 single rolls
Final Price:  $0.15 per single roll!

      Charmin Basic package shows for the Big Rolls = 308 1 ply sheets

    Charmin basic is normally one ply and for these double rolls they come with 264sheets per roll.

    Is there a reason not to use the $1.00 of 2 of Charmin in this weekends paper? Then I could save $2.00 instead of $1.25 on coupons.

    Oh okay in PA we got $1.00 of 2 charmin and $1.00 of on bounty so making the bounty a good buy in my book also. They were both in the P and G

    If you use any of the 100% back in Staples Rewards products to push it over the $25 mark, then use the coupon and the $5/25….. it comes out to $.25-$.50total depending on the mc you got, wouldn’t it?

      I don’t think you can because the coupon the requirement of $25 must be met with purchases to which no other instant savings offer applies.
      AND if you did use it they they give you $5 less in your 100% back because it says, “price eligible for rewards is the amount paid at checkout AFTER application of all promos, coupons and Rewards redemptions”
      So you really would not be getting ahead if you could use it because then you just get that much less back.

    does anyone know if walmart or target will match a staples ad?

      Wal-Mart will only if you have a staples in your area. My Wal-Mart will not because the nearest Staples is 2 hrs away. I do not know about Target (That nearest one is 2hrs away)

        Hi I am wondering how can you price match at walmart when they have a $5 off a $25 purchase? How would that work?

    The ad says the Charmin is on sale for $5.99 but when you get to the store it says the Charmin is $9.99 with an instant savings of $4 so your probably not going to be allowed use the $5 off $25 coupon on the Charmin.

      I saw the same thing HOWEVER it was not for the same item in the ad even though they looked the same.     My deal ended up as $25.45 (total out of pocket, 7%sales tax in my area) Pretty darn good! (5 packs of the Charmin with Staples $5 off and Manufacturers coupons deducted) Thanks….was getting low on my supply

    anyone know the zipcode where it has the 16 rolls in the ad? all of the zips i’ve looked up are showing the red package 9-roll for $5.99 instead of the 16 roll…

      I know in Oregon they are on sale 16pks and in my mom’s state, New Mexico they are.

    My ad says the 9 large roll also. If I can only get the 9 roll packs it wouldn’t be a good deal would it? We would be getting almost half as much. I am new at this couponing and still don’t know how to get the best deals on Paper towels and Bathroom tissue.

    i went couple hours go and my staples refused to combine my staples coupon with my manufacture coupon, and i only had one .25 cent coupon. i also bought one notebook for 1.50 so my total would be 25 without the coupon, and they told me i have to choose i cannot combine coupon and only one single coupon per transaction per person. i asked for the manager and he said the same thing. then the cashier started telling me she wont let me use the coupon because she doesn’t want to be fired just for a .25 cent coupon and that she have kids to feed and its just 25 cent and the manager agreed. that was my first time going there. wow
