Fresh Market’s Coupon Policy:

  • Will take all manufacturer coupons
  • Will take printable Internet coupons, as long as it says Manufacturer coupon on it
  • Will take all AFS (Associated Food Stores) coupons
  • Will stack AFS coupons with manufacturer coupons
  • Does not match competitors ads or prices
  • Does not take other stores in-store coupons
  • Becky

Does Fresh Market allow stacked coupons. For instance the AFS coupon and a Manufacturer coupons on one item?

Hi Everyone, I saw all of your comments and was hoping I could get some tips on couponing. I have 3 kids and another one on the way. I’m out of work and my husbands work is so scarce these days. I would love it if some of you could email me some tips on how to get started. I shop at the Fresh Market on 5600 S and 900 E in Murray/Cottonwood

      Thank you

The store in West Valley, Utah Is very rude about about taking internet coupons they are always changing the rules. They will not take internet unless it has the green dot in it. I take the ones with the green dot on it then they change rules again and say oh it’s over dollar or we don’t take that manufacture. I’ve never had trouble like I have with Fresh Market on manufacture coupons. Even when I have ones straight from ads or circulars they hold them up to the light or ask me where I got them. I spend over easily 100 to 200 dollars on groceries and to be treated like that over a small amount of coupons is sad in this hard economy. I thought it was just me that this was happening to but my friends and family have also had this problem. We have all started shopping at competitors and quite happy how we have been treated elsewhere. Thank You for you time.

I just got back from that store and they were awful to me. Usually I try to shmooze and flatter and work it out, but I just left! I can’t stand how they treat us like criminals. I MAY try printing the policy and taking it with me, or I may never go again. I have had this happen more than once and tonight was just not the night to push it.

Sorry for your bad experience also. I now carry the store policies in my coupon binder for future reference. The best places to shop with coupons are WinCo and Walmart( the always ask me if I have any competitor prices so they can meet it) they are awesome and never questioned any coupons I’ve had. Good Luck

Hello! I am new here to Utah, but had used coupons for a long time in Illinois. I wanted to get your thoughts about a situation I had today at Fresh Market. I have a manufacturer coupon that was printed at Smith’s, I presented it at Fresh Market and they wouldn’t take it. I know that the in-store coupons are not accepted there, but this actually has “Manufacturer Cpn” on the coupon, but it has the Smith’s logo. Any thoughts? The cashier asked someone else, not sure if that was a manager, but they concurred that they would not accept the coupon. I didn’t have the policy printed out and with me, so I didn’t feel like I could push the issue any further. Just wanted to know your thoughts. Thanks! – Tina

Yeah I have had someone say that before about the ones that print at smiths, they are manufacturer coupons and they can be used everywhere that accepts man. coupons. Chances are that it was some uninformed employee that didn’t realize it or care enough to help you. You can use the smiths print out manuf. coupons anywhere.

I have had problems with fresh market taking my coupons also. I will not shop there at all anymore. Their prices are so high the coupons cannot even compensate for the higher prices. For example. A&D ointment 6.99 fresh market price. Wal-mart’s price 3.29. Shopko $ 3.99. Cheese crackers $2.39 a box at Wal-mart. At fresh market 4.69 a box. That is a big price difference. Winco will not take manufacturers internet coupons at all. Unless they have changed their policy since I vowed I would never walk in that store again after they humiliated me while refusing to take my internet coupons. (I thank the people who were in back of me in line that were sticking up for me. And the 3 customers who were in back of my line who walked out and swore they would never come back after how they saw the checker and manager treat me, You 3 people are awesome. I am not a big Wal-mart fan sometimes they welcome you and all your coupons. Sometimes not, It depends on the CSM and the cashier that is scanning your coupons. And how literate they may or may not be. One CSM WOULD NOT TAKE MY COUPON. She read it two times to me and said in a very nasty voice.$ 1.00 off any size Larger juice. I pointed out it says any size. She said Larger size. Ma’m, I replied that says Langer. Oh she said, I guess I will take it this time. Your spending good money the stores are paid for the coupons they take. If they wont take them, And treat their customers with a bit of respect A competitor will. And Then we will see what stores stay in business. Happy couponing…

bad experience at fresh market, the cashier told me i couldnt use my $1.00 off coupons for the toothpaste that was on sale for $0.99. I asked her to ask the manager and they said i had to but the more expensive toothpaste in order to use my coupons. To top it off the cashier then went back and looked into all my groceries and said she needed to look at all the items purchased with coupons to make sure the pictures looked the same for all item bought some coupons said “any item”, which didnt not exclude trial size which I didnt not purchase, she told me that I couldnt use the coupons i had and then held up her own check out lane to search through all my bage of grocerys purchased. “I never had this experience at any of the competitors stores” and I never had my grocerys searched through either? this was at the market place in WVC by GOLD GYM on 3500 S. The manger muttered under her breathe that coupons cause problems this woman should not be in managerment at all…. :(
