This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Woodrow Wilson. All opinions are 100% mine.
Hop on over to www.wwteachingfellowship.org to apply for the Woodrow Wilson Teaching Fellowship. Deadline is September 1st, so you will want to hurry! Here’s what the fellowship is and who will qualify:
The Woodrow Wilson Teaching Fellowship provides recent college graduates and career changers with a $30,000 stipend to complete an intensive master’s degree program at one of fourteen participating universities. In return for the $30,000 stipend, they ask that you dedicate 3 years after you graduate to teach in a high-need school.
Competitive candidates for the Fellowship will:
Have completed an undergraduate degree in a STEM field by June 2011. STEM fields include science, technology, engineering, or math.
Have graduated with a 3.0 GPA or higher.
Demonstrate a commitment to the program and its goals.
Fellows who get the stipend will:
Complete a field-based master’s degree in teacher education.
Commit to teach for at least three years in a high-need school.
Receive intensive support and mentoring in the classroom.
Canvas People just emailed to let me know that they are offering $25 off any canvas (we’ve seen this offer before) but it now has FREE shipping too! You can get $25 off any size canvas, making an 8×10 only $24.99. This is an incredible deal if you have ever looked into getting these before! You simply upload the picture you want and ordering is a breeze.
I’m getting one of my girls to give to the folks for Christmas!
If you have seen “A Christmas Story” the part where Ralphie can’t move is my favorite. Who would have thought I’d become that mom? My little girl (above) couldn’t walk this weekend at the sled hill because I’d bundled her up so much – her snowsuit even had footies on it!
Spring, if you’re reading this: We are ready for you; we know you are sweet and don’t want to crash Winter’s party, but its okay to take the spotlight, really. Seriously we just went sledding in March, again! At least the snow melted off our poor yard:
And yes, our yard is yet another reason I use coupons. This year we are going to plant grass (the prudent way, of course, we will do it ourselves= no sod)

I was just in Big Lots in Provo, UT today and they had sets of 8 big bows (the kind you stick on presents) for $0.10, plus $.20 for wrapping paper! Everything Christmas was marked down 90%. Go in tomorrow with this 20% off Sat & Sun only here for some cheap clearance deals! Also, right next door Rite Aid’s Christmas Clearance was also 90% off.
Thanks for the coupon, MojoSavings

This coupon came out around Christmas time…but only lasted a few days. It is back again…so hurry and print if it is one you think your family might use.
Thanks, A Thrifty Mom!
After Christmas many people need new storage shelfs in their garage/basement/attic to store Christmas decorations. I needed a new shelf to store all my food storage. Either way, I spent forever pricing these out at Walmart, Lowes, Target, and Home Depot, only to find they were going to run me $35 (BOO!). So I went to my local Deseret Industries (similar to a Goodwill, the D.I. is a massive Church-run thrift store) and I got my shelf for $5. They only had one, so to get more I will just keep checking back whenever I am near it. It’s going in my basement so I don’t care if they aren’t all matching. So if you are looking for shelves, check your thrift stores first as they are a bargain there! Other deals I did today:
Rite Aid:
Huggies $8.99
GE Soft White Longlife Light Bulbs $2
Theraflu $4.99
Contact Cold+Flu $4.99

Going to Disney World for Christmas? I am. My in-laws who live in Orlando were kind enough to buy my family tickets to come out and stay with them. Infact, I leave tomorrow so I apologize but my postings will not be too regular during the Christmas season.
Back to my point, in Orlando, FL Restaurant.com has gift certificates for The Melting Pot, Mystery Slueths Dinner, and Pirates Adventure Cove for 70% off. I have lived in Orlando and trust me, a must eat-at is The Melting Pot. The picture above is from there. Also, expect prices at The Melting Pot to be about $50 for two people, so yes you will want a gift certificate for $3 to help with their high costs!
There are only 10 of these left, so if you are going act fast. To save 70% off Restaurant.com $25 Gift Certificate orders, go here and use code SNOW to pay $3 for $25 gift certificate thru 12/17/09.
