Finding healthy snacks that kids like is always a chore! We received Somersault snacks to try out as a healthy snack for the whole family. They are mostly made with sunflower seeds, toasted grains, sesame seeds and a sprinkle of spices and are baked into round nuggets.
They let us try all four flavors: s.s. sea salt, chez cocoa, salty pepper, and santa fee salsa. My kids liked chez cocoa the best, and I preferred santa fee salsa. The s.s. sea salt was too salty for us. They definitely mostly taste like sunflower seeds, so if you enjoy those you should enjoy these. These would be great for long road trips because often you eat unhealthy in the car.
Somersault snacks have more protein than almonds – and half the fat. Plus since they have no nuts, even those allergic to nuts can enjoy them.
