This Children’s DVD uses puppets to explain: the overall concept of the Bible, from who wrote it, why, how it all came together in one piece. Then it uses cartoons to explain: the individual stories in the bible.
I liked the cartoon parts of the DVD better then the puppets part. I think What’s In The Bible is more for children at least 5 years old. It moves too quickly and is too packed with information for any younger child.
There were 2 specific statements made that I disagreed with; you can email me if you want to know specifics. I did think it did a good job of explaining about the creation when Moses wrote “Day” it could have meant God’s day, which could be thousands or millions of years in Earth days. It also explained selfishness very well.

Giveaway: 1 Winner will get certificates for 2 free DVD’s: “What’s In The Bible” In The Beginning and Let My People Go
If you are a returning visitor, you may have noticed some changes to my site lately. I spent a few hours making over my logo and button.
I choose A Prudent Mom as my slogan because “A Prudent wife is of the Lord” and I’d like to strive to be that way, although I’m not there yet you have to dream it to accomplish it, right? So I bought the domain APrudentMom.com so that I can use that name and have it re-direct here (the re-direct isn’t working yet; it will be happening shortly). I think it is easier to remember and spell then CuckooForCouponDeals! But you don’t have to change a thing as far as bookmarking goes; I will still be owning/operating under the Cuckoo For Coupon Deals name too. They’re one site combined.
But most importantly, I’d like to thank my husband for spending several hours working behind the scenes to make my site load faster. My site loads at least 2x faster now!
What do you gals think? I’d love any feedback as always!
Just in case you have been hearing all the buzz about WyzAnt lately, and were wondering what it is, it is just a site here where you can find private tutors for your kids. It has you search by zip code and find a tutor, with pics, credentials, certificates, and most importantly price/hour.
The Slice Coupon Cutters Giveaway was by far the largest giveaway ever done on my site. I am so thrilled to have two new giveaways to celebrate: Danny the Dragon here and Wen Salon Conditioner here giveaway entries are only in their 20’s now so the chances to win are high!
There were some in-valid entries (people who said they followed but didn’t) SO it took a long time to verify the winners, but here they are!
And the winners selected by Random.org are:
Julie “Okay here is my last comment. I added your button to the sidebar of my blog http://40aweek4food.blogspot.com/”
Alexis “I would love to slice my coupons!”

Look at my category on the right-hand sidebar of my site “Swagbucks Widget & Alerts” where I will have my widget & I’ll be posting alerts letting you know when to check the widget for free swag codes.
UPDATE: This giveaway ended, entry #37 won.
I reviewed a copy of Danny the Dragon, written by Tina Turbin and Illustrated by Aija Jasuna, and an accompanying CD which reads the book out loud then plays 10 original composition classical songs.
Me and my daughter follow the cd along with the book before bedtime. My daughter likes to listen to the CD and turn the pages at the chime. Then when its over I tuck her in and turn the volume on low and she goes to sleep with the music going. She thinks its really special.
The book is about a regular family who comes across Danny the Dragon and his sidekick Skipper. I won’t spoil the surprise on how Danny meets Jimmy and his family, but your children will love “where he sleeps” and learn from Danny as Danny is an easy-going, gracious dragon with great manners. The illustrations are very colorful and my daughter loved them.

Update: Entry #2 won.
I have the most obnoxious, tangly, frizzy, curly hair and have never fell “in love” with any shampoo or conditioner.
I think I may really like like Wen! I used it on my hair for a month. It worked great on my hair, noticiably making it softer. It also seemed to straighten it a little, which seems weird. I straightened my hair after using Wen and it only took 45 minutes; it usually takes me over an hour. Yes, that is using my ceramic straightner and curling iron.
So what’s the big deal with Wen? Well, it’s a conditioner that you use with no shampoo before or after. Really. From their site “Wen cleanses as it conditions, with no detergents or harsh chemicals. It’s all-natural…makes color lasts longer” and the results (at least on my hair) were much softer hair.
UPDATE: GIVEAWAY HAS ENDED, VIEW WINNERS HERE
Didn’t win? They sell for just $6.03 here on Amazon.com and they are eligible for free super saver shipping!
Thanks to Slice for giving me 8 extra slice safety cutters to giveaway! According to their site, “the recessed ceramic blade lasts longer than steel and never rusts. Ever.” So I can use my slice to cut coupons forever, sweet!

HERE’S HOW TO ENTER TO WIN

The winner is: Entry #9, Bonnie P, who said “I have never tried it before”

After telling my friends and husband about Baby’s First Phone Call, they all said (in their own way) “and why didn’t I know about this when I was in the hospital calling 20 people and telling the same story over and over again!”
How does Baby’s First Phone Call work?
- Before the baby is born, you enter the names and phone numbers of all the people you want to notify when the baby arrives.
- After the baby is born, you make a single phone call and leave a personal voice-mail message of any length with all the details you want to share; I would suggest information such as baby’s health, the hospital and room number you’re in, and whether and when you’d like to receive visitors.
- They get to hear the happy news straight from you and if they don’t answer it leaves them a message.
There will be 4 winners, each receiving a $50 Gift Certificate for Baby’s First Phone Call. These are transferable; meaning you will be able to give these as gifts at baby showers! They also don’t expire so you can hold on to them until you or someone you know is having a baby. SWEET: they are for unlimited amounts of people that you want on your calling list.
