Ok, last year Rite Aid put out a really great Flu Shot coupon booklet. It said on it and all the ads that NO PURCHASE was necessary to get the booklet. Now some people were able to get them without the flu shots, but many others had a hard time unless they did get the flu shot.
This year they are doing it again. It’s much more confusing this time. A press release states, “Anyone who gets a flu shot at Rite Aid will receive a free coupon booklet that offers over $100 in savings, while supplies last*. ” So it would seem they will only give them out with the flu shot, BUT do you see that little asterick at the end of the sentence? It refers you to the bottom of the press release which states, “*No purchase necessary.”
Well I got brave and went to the pharmacy to ask about the Flu coupon booklet. I told them I had seen the press release and explained how it said NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. The pharmacist was very kind and gave me one. It was easier than I thought and guess what! Now I will have our family flu shots done there! They just earned some extra business!
