Sometimes if you have ‘filler’ items in your cart they’ll scan it through, but they are supposed to be able to adjust down the value of the coupon so it matches the price of the item you’re purchasing. I know not all cashiers know how to do this, but maybe ask next time and see if they can, or can get a manager to help. That’s a bummer to not get it for free for that reason.

I recently had an issue with the cashier and customer service not willing to accept competitors coupons. They price matched the ad, but wouldn’t accept the coupons even though I had a copy of the Walmart coupon policy with me. It was late on a Saturday evening, so I finally left (VERY angry) and contacted corporate the next day. Corporate customer service agreed I was correct and they should have taken my coupons. Within 6 hours of my call to Corporate, I received a call from the Manager on duty at my local Walmart. He stated that if I ever have an issue, to give his name and ask to speak with a SALARIED member of management, not a CSM. He said they have a special way of overriding the competitor coupons and that he would meet with his CSM’s and go over the policy with them.

Yes The $2/1 Tide Coupon is beeping here in Vegas too….but fortunatly I was able to talk the manager into accepting it (I took the whole P&G insert with me and showed the Mgr that some coupons say excludes trial size and other coupons dont have any restrictions and it helped)….then the next walmart I went to I showed the cashier the receipt from my previous purchase that had been approved and lucky me it was accepted again….On November 1st the Tide coupons were being accepted by the register without the print out so they changed it to reject them. On Tides Facebook page it states that P&G doesnt distribute the single use packets they outsource them to another company and thats why the coupon is not intended for single use packets although P&G repeatedly forgets to include (excludes Trial Size) on their Tide Q’s…in my opinion P&G knows how many coupons they released and must have included those figures into their advertising budget setting aside x amount of dollars which in turn lets people like myself who were never Tide users experience the WONDEROUS Miracle that Tide really is!!…I will ONLY use Tide from now on and its because I got to try it free that I saw for myself how well it works so with or without a coupon in the future I’m buying Tide Coz its Fantabulous and BOOM P&G just increased their future revenues!
