Buying second hand, when I can, has always been a passion of mine. I mean, if you can skip paying full price for kids clothing, why wouldn’t you? Here is how you save at Once Upon a Child!
Clearance section is best
Whenever I shop at OUAC – the clearance section is the first place I head. There is usually out of season clothing in the clearance section. Sometimes, if there is an overflow of clothing, and those are on clearance. Just make sure you head there first!
Sign up for the texting club
Most of the OUAC have texting clubs. With this texting club, you get access to all the best “deals” that are happening. You might get a text when there is a holiday sale or just some other random special going on. Plus, what better place to see a sale than on your phone?
Sign up for emails
A lot of the Once Upon a Child businesses will send out separate coupons to text club and email. Sign up for both. At least you’ll know every time there is sale happening. And you’ll get first dibs on saving the most money all the way around.
Sell your clothing
I should admit that Once Upon a Child is very picky about their items. However, I have still made a pretty penny by bringing in my gently used baby stuff. If you have nothing better to do with your kid’s clothing and want to make some extra cash, you can always try here. Just make sure the clothes are washed, dried, and folded well. Appearance is everything when you’re trying to sell stuff to OUAC.
Look for the items that are $2.50 and under
I have a way to look for clothing in my budget range. When I’m searching through the clothes, look for items priced under $2.50. That way you don’t have to look at every single tag and you don’t get sucked into buying the more expensive items. It’s just kids clothing, they don’t have to look like super models.
Saving money at OUAC boils down to waiting for the sales and shopping smart. I can cloth both of my kids for very cheaply by shopping here. Do you shop at Once Upon a Child? Do you have any sale secrets?
