Meals Using Deals takes deals each week and makes a dinner for under $10 for a family of 4. We use whichever store has the best deals out of: Walmart, Target, Kroger/Smiths, or Maceys. I will try to post several during the week.

Head over to the Meijer Deals List this week and do this deal:

Pork Shoulder Bone-In Country Style Ribs (family pack), $1.69/lb.
Meijer White Hamburger or Hot Dog Buns or Seeded Hamburger Buns (8 ct.), B2G1 (Freeze extra buns)

Sweet Baby Rays Barbecue Sauce (18 oz.), Marinade (16 oz.) or Dipping Sauce (12 oz.), $1

Use the $1/1 Sweet Baby Ray’s Marinade, exp. 6-30-11 (SS 5/22/11)
OR use the $1/1 Sweet Baby Ray’s Dipping Sauce, exp. 6-30-11 (SS 5/22/11)
Final Price= FREE after coupon

Crockpot: Pulled Pork Sandwiches (feed 4 for about $5)
2-3 pounds Pork Shoulder
1-2 onions sliced
1-2 apples sliced
1/4 tsp allspice
1/4 tsp cinnamon

Place onions and apples on the bottom of the crockpot and place Pork shoulder on top. Sprinkle with allspice and cinnamon and cover. Medium heat for 6 hours.

1/2 hour before meat is done, drain the liquids and put 1/2 cup Sweet Rays BBQ sauce (your choice of flavor) Cook for another 1/2 hour.
Pull the meat off the bone with 2 forks. If there is any resistance, pork is not ready and place back in the crockpot for another hour.

Serve on hamburger buns.
