UPDATE: Just called Groupon, and they immediately gave me credits to Groupon for the full amount of the 10 tickets I’d purchased, even though I’d used 2!  Please just be nice and call the daily deal site you got your weekly cinema tickets from, and you’ll probably get your credits back – only 5 minutes later mine showed up in my  account, and I’m going to use them up today so wa-hoo! Marbles the Brain store, the San Jose side deal today, is a pretty great Christmas present idea for my nephew!

I am upset about this.  I spent $30 for $60 worth of movie tickets at Weekly Cinema, and now their site says:

The future of Weekly Cinema is under review. While this review is being performed, we are not able to process or redeem movie ticket coupons. We are working with our deal site partners to achieve a refund for the unused movie tickets and promo codes in your Weekly Cinema account in an amount of up to the price paid for each of the unused movie ticket coupons.A Hotline phone number to provide additional information about Weekly Cinema is being set up. Please provide your Weekly Cinema email in the box below if you would like us to email you when an update is available.

Otherwise, check the site later today for further updates.

I am hoping to get that amount credited back to my groupon account and am on the phone with them now.   So very upset about this – let me know what you do to get your money back!
