This post brought to you by FRESCHETTA®. All opinions are 100% mine.

I was contacted by Freschetta to see if I wanted to host a little giveaway for them and try out their new FRESCHETTA® By the Slice . I actually love Freschetta pizza and pop it in the oven when I don’t have time to cook dinner.
So I went out and got me a Pizza by the Slice to try out since I had only had the whole pizzas before.  I saw that at Walmart they have “Try Me Free” mail-in-rebates on the boxes – so you can all go get some for free!  I bet they are on boxes at other places as well.
The pizza tasted exactly like other Freschetta pizzas I had eaten – nice crispy crust and lots of cheese.  The only difference is they don’t have plain pepporoni for a topping, instead they have:
* BBQ Recipe Chicken
* Vegetable Medley
* Chicken, Spinach & Mushroom
* Six Cheese Medley
I got Vegetable Medley because I usually get meat and sometimes some new flavors are great to taste on pizza.

Giveaway: 1 Cuckoo for Coupon Deals reader gets a coupon for a free box of Pizza by the Slice, and a 3 piece storage container.  I may throw in some extra coupons too.

To enter: Leave a comment letting me know if you like Freschetta!

Extra entry: Head over to FRESCHETTA® By the Slice. and click the Share this Pizza button and share it to your facebook wall!

Leave a comment for each entry! 2 entries per person only, USA only, ends May 17th 2011 at 10pm MST.

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Mission Foods. All opinions are 100% mine.

My family loves burrito night. We eat burritos every Wednesday night. We are very blessed to have a grandfather who raises cattle, so our meat is free. So we just have to buy tortillas, cheese, beans, salsa, and olives. Mission tortillas often have coupons and you can get a great deal on them, so the meal is very cheap. Plus they are fresh-baked so they often have better flavor then other tortillas.

Here is our burrito recipe using mission flour tortillas:
1 pound ground beef – cook it first. Add taco seasoning if desired.
Then in a separate frying pan put some vegetable oil (1 tablespoon is enough) in the bottom and get it very hot. Throw on mission tortillas on each side for about 15 seconds. Once they are fried, coat them in Parmesan cheese. The kind that is in shakers. It adds a great flavor to the tortillas. Then fill the tortillas with the ground beef, beans, cheese, olives and put salsa on top. We love this simple recipe!

Right now you can submit your favorite recipe using mission flour tortillas to the Mission Menus Challenge! The grand prize winner gets to compete in a cook-off in Los Angeles and win a $10,000 dream kitchen makeover, plus there are weekly prizes. The grand prize winner will win round-trip airfare and hotel accommodations for two to the Mission Menus Challenge Cook-off on September 10, 2010 at the Hard Rock Café in Los Angeles.

Until August 9th, you have the chance to submit your recipe online. All recipes:
• Must include Mission Flour Tortillas
• Be original
• Feed a family of five for $10 or less

Kraft First Taste appears to be staggering who gets their free product coupons.  If you weren’t in the first two batches, you may be in this one! I remember when everyone was getting the 6 free coupons, I got 6 printable coupons, but they were for $1.50 off most products, nothing free. I didn’t even print them.  Then today I checked again, and I got the message everyone loves to hear:

Receive up to six (6) coupons* for ONE (1) FREE package each of KOOL-AID Fun Fizz Drink Drops (up to $2.49), OSCAR MAYER Deli Fresh Shaved Meats (up to $4.50), RITZ CRACKERFULS Filled Crackers (up to $3.49), KRAFT 100 CALORIE PACKS CHEESE BITES (up to $3.29), KRAFT HOMESTYLE DELUXE Macaroni & Cheese Dinner (up to $3.99), and DIGIORNO® Deep Dish Pizza (up to $3.30). Now you and your family and friends can be among the first to enjoy what’s new & delicious from Kraft Foods.

*All coupons are delivered in 6 to 8 weeks and are offered while supplies last. Offer expires 8/31/2010. Over a $20.00 value.

Login to your Kraft First Taste account (or sign up) and see if you got any of these freebies:

  • Free package of KOOL-AID Fun Fizz Drink Drops (up to $2.49)
  • Free package of OSCAR MAYER Deli Fresh Shaved Meats (up to $4.50)
  • Free package of RITZ CRACKERFULS Filled Crackers (up to $3.49)
  • Free package of KRAFT 100 CALORIE PACKS CHEESE BITES (up to $3.29)
  • Free package of KRAFT HOMESTYLE DELUXE Macaroni & Cheese Dinner (up to $3.99)
  • Free package of DIGIORNO® Deep Dish Pizza (up to $3.30)

One way to ensure that you get freebies every time they are available is to make sure to take their surveys on previous products you’ve gotten.  For example, I got the Philidelphia Cream Cheese freebie awhile back, so I logged in and took their survey on it.   I always do this, and I seem to always get the freebies they offer.  The more you help them, the more you are rewarded.

Their site is actually packed right now I can’t log in – but I hope I get some of these freebies to! If you get a message about the server being to busy, just try again later.

Thanks, Wicked Deals!

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Freschetta. All opinions are 100% mine.

UPDATE: Giveaway has ended, view winners here.

I normally post giveaways on Wednesdays and end them the following Tuesday, but Freschetta Pizza contacted me about doing a giveaway and sent me 5 coupons for any size/variety of pizzas.  Since the coupons expire May 31st, I want to hurry and do the giveaway because it can take a week for mail to get to some parts of the country from me here in Utah.

Boring info, what’s important is I am doing a “quicky” giveaway – only 24 hours to enter!

Monday night for Family Home Evening I don’t feel like cooking, so we usually get Domino’s Pizza. This week we substituted and tried out one of the new Freschetta FlatBread pizza varieties:

  • Zesty Italian
  • Roasted Garlic & Spinach
  • Pepperoni
  • 5-Cheese

First off, let me say I normally don’t eat frozen pizza.  It is an extreme back up plan.  I just don’t like how the center always seems doughy.  I think that is why I choose their FlatBread Pizza, Zesty Italian to try out; less crust=no soggy middle.

Great choice! We cooked it right on the rack to get it nice and crispy, and the middle cooked! We were also impressed by the quality of the toppings, most important to me was that their pizza are made with all-natural cheeses, flash frozen vegetables and quality premium meats.   I’m a cheese freak.  I love some good cheese!

These free coupons can be used on any Freschetta pizza, but I would try the flatbread out!  Freschetta also let me know about a new $1/1 any Freschetta pizza printable.

Giveaway: 4 winners will get a coupon for free Freschetta pizzas – any size, any flavor.  And you know me, I like to throw in extra coupons for the winners!

  1. “Like” Freschetta Pizza and Cuckoo for Coupon Deals on Facebook, then just leave a comment stating that you did both (use the same name that you use on Facebook for verification purposes).
  2. Get Up To 6 Extra Entries – select the yes or no options under the “Submit Comment” button, then submit ONE comment.  Selections will be saved to your comment!  If you tweet about the giveaway, make sure to use the hash tag: #Freschetta
Please enter your email address in the required e-mail field only.  Do not type it in your comment box because spambots will see it and spam you.  Your email address will be saved to your comment in our database so you can be instantly notified if you are selected as the winner.
Entry is open to US residents. Ends 10:00pm MST on Tuesday, May 11th. Winner will be chosen using a third party site,, contacted by email, and have 48 hours to respond or an alternate will be chosen.
