I went and checked the double coupon event out:

  1. All it takes is scanning your “shop your way” rewards card to have the first 5 coupons you hand the cashier doubled, up to $2.00 per coupon, per day.  You can sign up at the store if you don’t have one.
  2. You can not use 2 identical coupons (so you must mix up which products you buy).  I have heard you CAN in other states, but not in Utah.
  3. The $10 Prepaid Mastercard Rebate does not print upon checkout – you must find the rebate forms hung up in your store. Mine were on an end-aisle near Pharmacy.
  4. The rebate states $25 can’t include taxes.
  5. *The rebate doesn’t state whether or not you can use coupons before or after $25, and attempts to call the phone # on the rebate form lead to no answers.
  6. The $10 Prepaid Mastercard is 1 per household, no p.o. boxes.
  7. The $10 Prepaid Mastercard Rebate is valid on the following brands: Align, Always, Aussie, Bounty, Bounce, Braun, Camay, Cheer, Clearblue Easy, Covergirl, Crest, Dawn, Downy, Dreft, Duracell, Ear, Eukanuba, Febreeze, Fixodent, Gain, Gillette, Gleem, Head & Shoulders, Herbal Essenses, Hydrience, Iams, Infusium, Ivory, Joy, Luvs, Mr. Clean, Natural Instincts, Nice & Easy, Olay, Old Spice, Oral-B, Pampers, Pantene, Pepto-Bismal, Prilosec OTC, Pringles, Puffs, Pur, Safegaurd, Scope, Secret, Swiffer, Tampax, Tide, Vicks, Zest

Pampers

I add new codes to this list weekly.

Pampers Gifts To Grow is a program where you enter codes found inside packs of diapers, training pants, and wipes and save the points up until you get cool prizes – like free diapers and wipes.  Those codes are one-time use.  But Pampers also releases codes that everyone can use, and I keep a list of those here.

Sign up for Pampers Gifts to Grow if you aren’t a member yet.

List of old pampers gifts to grow codes, let me know which ones have expired: I have removed all the expired codes thanks to Renae & Dana!

My goal was $200 but I spent $274.02.  I still consider this a victory, as long as it’s below $300. 🙂  We are a family of 4 with 2 in diapers.  We used to spend $600, and that was a good month.   Truth be told I’m not sure what we were spending.  I decided in January that we needed a change.  I had been doing really well with coupons for awhile so I thought I would just try and do $200 to see if it was even possible.  We ended up spending $218.66, that’s INCLUDING toiletries, AND I currently only have 1 newspaper subscription.   I also have a love for Costco.  It’s like Disneyland to me.  So I decided to make $200 my goal for odd months and $300 for even.  This makes it so I can still go to Costco and not feel guilty about it…although I have to be careful, very careful.:)

I’ve also been acquiring and using our food storage.  I always thought we needed more money to get a decent supply, but cutting our budget has increased our storage!  Of course this takes planning and couponing, but that’s all part of the fun.  The next biggest help is just writing it down.  Keeping a record of spending helps reign me in.

I also can’t believe how much better we eat!  Planning makes all the difference!  Less waste…. You can go here to see some of the recipes I’ve used.

What do you do??  I would love to hear your family size and your budget amount.
