If you are new to couponing, you will love to learn about the “Prescription Transfer Game”.  Even if I don’t have time for too many deals, one deal I do every month is the Prescription Transfer Game.

Here’s how it works:

In the Sunday paper, Rite Aid, Target, Kmart, and sometimes Walgreen’s will offer coupons for $25 gift cards to their store, just for transferring a prescription to their store.   These coupons can often be found online as well – and my site will let you know when and where to find them.

  1. All you have to do is call the pharmacy you want to transfer to, for example, Rite Aid, and say you want to transfer a prescription to them from Kmart.
  2. They call Kmart and do all the transfer work for you.
  3. Then you go to Rite Aid and pick up your prescription.   When you go to pay for it, you give them your $25 Gift Card Coupon.  You will still pay your regular co-pay for the prescription, but then after you pay they will hand you a gift card for $25 to their store!  Use-able on anything!
  4. The next month when it is time to get your prescription filled, you call Kmart and say you want to transfer your prescription from Rite Aid to Kmart.
  5. Kmart does all the transfer work.
  6. Then the same scenerio repeats itself – go in, hand them the coupon and get your $25 Kmart Gift Card.

I transfer between Kmart and Rite Aid monthly, and Walgreen’s when they do have the $25 transfer coupons available.  I make $25 per month doing this!

Valid printable prescription transfer coupons:

  • check Kmart’s weekly ad

Pharmacy’s make a ton of money by having you get your prescriptions filled.  They want your business.

Let me know if you know of anywhere else that pays you for transferring your prescription to them!

We are currently looking for Deal Contributors for this store!

If you don’t currently run a blog, you can still contribute deals – I’ll teach you how to do it and get paid at the same time.

If you do run a blog, you will get a link back to your site at the top of the post, as well as use your own affiliate links. Please email deidre(AT)cuckooforcoupondeals.com if you’d like to be a deal contributor for this or any other store!

First off…I LOVE Ebates!  It’s the easiest way to get a rebate.  Right now they are offering $10 Cash Back (it’s usually $5!) if you sign up for free!  They don’t need much info.

To use Ebates all you do is search for the online store you’ll be shopping at (they have most you can think of) and you can see if there are any coupon codes for that store AND how much % cash back they will give you!  Click on the store you want and you are directed there…DONE!

I use Ebates and Shop At Home.  I love getting money back!  They pay quarterly.  Ebates basically sweetens any online sale going on!

Sign up for JC Penney’s free newsletter and you’ll get in-store and online coupons!  I refuse to pay full price at stores like this, I’m glad they are helping me. 🙂

Cuckoo Deals Map – Coupon Match-ups For All Stores

I got an email from a reader who was upset that my site had so many deals from states outside of Utah – it was clogging up her Google Reader with deals that didn’t apply to her.

So I spent all weekend working up a solution I think will benefit everyone from every state!

FIRST: Subscribe via RSS (Google Reader is RSS) or by email for deals in your state only here! Infact, you can subscribe for lite or full versions.

  • Lite state subscription- Gives you every in-store deal applicable to your state.
  • Full state subscription- Gives you every in-store deal applicable to your state, plus all other online deals, freebies, printable coupons and deals that are applicable nationwide.  Basically, every post on my site except ones that are for a store which is not located in your state or for deals specific to other states.
  • Oddly: For some reason when you subscribe the name at the top of the feed will show a category, usually a store name, at the top of the feed.  Don’t worry, if you look through the feed, it is only showing your state deals.  It is just listing the first of many categories which are included in the feed.  So don’t worry about it; it’s the correct feed!

SECOND: Changes to which deals are shown on my home page:

To make my home page more applicable to everyone, only store deals, freebies, printable coupons, etc… which are nationwide (or close to it) will be shown.  All deals on the Cuckoo Deals Map will still be there, you just need to select your state to see store deals & state/region specific deals.  This is important because I am working with other bloggers towards getting deals for every state nationwide soon on  the map!  If you are a interested in making money posting deals for your state, email me.

Utah readers: I started posting less Utah deals because of my national readers getting bugged.  But now that they can subscribe to their state deals which won’t show Utah deals, I am going to start posting more Utah deals! Utah deals will no longer show up on my home page though.  To see them, either subscribe via RSS or email to Utah deals, OR just click on the Cuckoo Deals Map and on Utah select “Utah Deals” to view my infamous in-store finds at Macey’s, Fresh Market, Utah offers and more.

Utah Lite Feed: Subscribe in a reader or by Email

Utah Full Feed: Subscribe in a reader or by Email

All other states: go to my Subscribe Via RSS or Email page and select your state’s lite or full feed!

What do you think of these changes?  Helpful or not?  Anything else I can do to ease your time searching for deals?  Leave a comment below and let me know.

UPDATE: forgot the link! I just added it – so busy this morning!

My brother Jack just called and told me about this -and why isn’t it on my site?  Truth is, I’ve been playing with my kids all morning!  It is the perfect temperature outside- not too hot, not too cold.

Type in “GOBIG8X10” and get a free 8×10 photo collage from Walgreen’s free with in-store pickup. Great gift for grandparents too.

You can get coupons 4 ways:

Print coupons at home
eCoupons (uploaded to your store loyalty card)
Sunday Coupon Inserts – mandatory if you want to extreme coupon!
Mailed to your house

.
1.  Printed Online:

How do I find printable coupons?
Next to each match-up on our site we list what coupon to use, and have  a link of where to print it from, normally one of the following 3 reputable sites:

How many times may I print each coupon?

You can print nearly all coupons two times per computer by using the back browser (the little < sign in your toolbar).  Hit the back button and then click “resend” to print the coupon a second time!  Some printable coupon sites, you have to manually go back and reselect the coupon a second time.

What does IE or FF mean? These are the 2 most recommended Web Browsers for printing coupons since you CAN’T print coupons using Google Chrome (please email me if you find a way to print from Google Chrome)

IE= Internet Explorer
FF=Firefox

When printing coupons from (bricks.coupons.com) the url is different for those browsing in firefox than it is for internet explorer.  Click the link next to IE if you’re in explorer or FF if you’re in firefox.  You can’t print twice from both.

When printing from IE, letters in code should be “vi” or “wi”
A Firefox (FF) link will read “vg” or “wg” (change a IE link to Firefox by looking for the “vi” part and changing it to “vg”)
If you are using Safari on a Mac, change any of these codes to “xs”, then hit enter and you’ll be printing.

.
2. eCoupons:

What is an eCoupon, Loadable or Clipless coupon?
An eCoupon is an electronic coupon get online in a similar manner to a printable coupon.  Instead of printing the coupon, you load it onto your store loyalty card.  When you scan your loyalty card at the cash register, or give your phone number, you will automatically receive the savings if you’ve made a qualifying purchase.  These work at Albertson’s, Smith’s, Kroger’s, etc...full list here.

Where do I find eCoupons?
ECoupons may be loaded to your store loyalty card from the following sources:

  • Cellfire.com
  • Shortcuts.com
  • PGeSAVER.com
  • UPromise – you can load coupons to Smith’s, Krogers, Albertson’s, Rite Aid, and more!

.
3. Coupons in the Sunday Newspaper (Coupon Inserts) – The Most Important Part To Successful Couponing!

In many of my posts, you’ll see references to use Sunday coupon inserts; look at the picture above to see what Sunday Coupon Inserts look like. Here is  an example of how I tell you which insert a coupon is in when I post a deal:

Buy Olay Lotion $2.99
Use the $1/2 Select Olay Products, exp. 11-30-10 (SS 10/31/10)
Final Price= $1.99

What does the pink coupon information in the deal above mean?

  • $1/2 = $1 off when you buy 2.
  • exp. 11-30-10 means the coupon will expire on 11-30-10 and will no longer be useable.
  • (SS 10/31/10) means a coupon came from the Smart Source insert in the Sunday paper on 10/31/10.

Inserts in the Sunday paper: SS= Smart Source, RP= Red Plum, P&G= Proctor & Gamble (once per month).  Insert coupons can be used at any store that accepts manufacturer’s coupons.  Almost all grocery and drug stores do.

How do I get the coupons?

  • Subscribe to the newspaper! In fact, we suggest you subscribe to 4-6 copies of the Sunday paper. I get 5 copies of The Daily Herold in Utah.  I have worked out a deal with them to get you the lowest rates! You’ll need multiple copies of the Sunday paper for coupon inserts!
  • Non-Utah: discounted newspaper home delivery here.
  • Order them at My Coupon Hunter;  a coupon clipping service.
  • Talk to your local convenience store to see if they’ll give their old papers to you.
  • Check coffee shops and fast food restaurants where you’re a patron.
  • Ask your friends, family, co-workers, church members if they’ll save their inserts for you.
  • Buy coupons (pay a handling fee) by purchasing coupons

.
4.  Mailed to your house:

    • Kraft Foods. Get access to freebies and coupon booklets when available.
    • Sign up with Mambo Sprouts to get healthy and organic coupons by mail.
    • Target coupons by mail. No one really knows the rhyme or reason Target uses to decide who gets these. But it doesn’t hurt to stop over and create a faves list.
    • Want a lot of one particular coupon? Order them at My Coupon Hunter;  a coupon clipping service.  She usually charges $.05 per coupon, but if it is a high-value coupon and you know a hot sale is coming, its worth the $.05.  Also, note that if  you know a sell is going on right now, since it can take a few days for the coupon to get to you, you might be too late. Smith’s Mega Events are usually 2 weeks long so there is plenty of time to order the coupons.
    • Order whole inserts through Coupons By DeDe

Wow! I wish I was in Michigan or Ohio right now. 6/9 thru 6/15 Super Kmart’s are doubling coupons up to $2!

Here’s the rules:
—The promotion covers manufacturer’s coupons up to and including $2 in value.

—The offer does not include Kmart store coupons or Kmart Pharmacy coupons.

— The limit is 5 total coupons per customer per day.

— You must swipe your Shop Your Way rewards card at the beginning of the transaction. You can sign up in-store and they are free.

View this week’s Kmart Matchups. If the price is $2 or under for any item when you use a coupon on it, that means it will be free!

Thanks, Coupon Katarina
