Make sure to clip your free $25 gift card to Rite Aid coupon in today’s paper!  Mine was in the Daily Herold. Just transfer a prescription to Rite Aid and make sure to scan the coupon at checkout to get $25 on a Rite Aid gift card.  Has anyone tried to use these at a Walmart or Shopko pharmacy? Both stores take competitor’s coupons, let me know if it works!!!

Limited Time Offer Tide Stain Release Packs are $5.00 at Walmart
$3.00/1 (PG 12/27) Limited Time Offer Pack
Final Price: $2.00

I love these!!! With a two year old and a 10 month old I just use one of these in every wash because something has a stain in it.  No more scrubbing for me!  These coupons expire Jan. 31, so you could hold out for a better deal, but if none roll around then make sure to pick this up at Walmart before the coupon before it expires.

This “Spud Buds” toy is on sale for $6.99 this week at Kmart. Use a $5 off coupon from here and get it for only $1.99. If Kmart is out of these, take the ad from the Sunday newspaper and ad-match at either Wal-Mart or Target. Even if this isn’t something you can use, it would make a nice donation to Toys for Tots!

new zhu zhu pet hamster Zhu Zhu Pets At Walmart Only $8!!!

Walmart will have Zhu Zhu Pets in stock starting Dec. 21, 22, and 23 at 7:00 AM. They will issue tickets on a first come first serve basis. Each store will have between 20-60 each – per store, per day. Each customer is limited to 1 and perhaps best of all is that the price will only be $8. This is the best price we’ve seen so if you’re so inclined, get in line early.

Total for this week: I paid $69.00 for $101.99 worth of groceries; I saved: $32.99 (I am disappointed)

I am doing a new thing where at the end of the week I show all that I spent for the week. This way at the end of the month I can see how much money I am spending monthly.  I have  a family of 4, so anything under $100 per week for all food, drinks, eating out, toiletries, haircare products, diapers and baby formula is my goal. I have 2 kids in diapers, so this may sound ambitious but I accomplished it this week!

Here is my second weekly review:

My Dollar Tree Shopping Trip Dec. 7: $9.61

P1010005

My Walmart Shopping Trip Dec. 9: Saved $25.69

all

K-mart Shopping Trip Dec. 10: Saved $7.30

My K-mart shopping trip Dec. 12: 4 “D” batteries & Starburst for $7.49 (boo me, I didn’t even take my coupon binder with me! I wouldn’t have bought these not-on-sale but I needed them right then.)

Total for this week:

PAID: $69.00

SAVED: $32.99 (I didn’t count any saving from my Dollar Tree trip because I have no idea how much I saved on my makeup, probably $10)

Plus, I spent over $37 on Christmas presents, only saving $10 on them.  Pretty weak compared to my big savings last week!

I love checking my mail and email and getting random free samples or coupons.  Vocalpoint sent me coupons for $3 off Kashi cereal, and full-size Kashi cereal was $3 at Walmart so I got it free.  I am sure glad I didn’t spend my money on that stuff! I couldn’t even pawn it off on my starving college-student brother!  I think we ended up trashing it. Really, it was that bad. Here are two sites I get a lot of freebies from by signing up for their mailing list:

Home Made Simple Home Made Simple: they email and mail you special offers, samples, coupons, and sweepstakes offers from brands like Cascade, Dawn, Febreze, Mr. Clean, and Swiffer.

Vocal PointVocalpoint: Mails coupons and free samples directly to your home.  Has users offer reviews of the products so you know if they are good or not.

Anyone else got free samples of things and decided you were glad you tried it before you bought it?
